About the board
BISE Gujranwala was created under the Punjab Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act 1976. Its area was notified on 14 October 1982, and it held its first exam, a secondary school supplementary exam, in 1983.
It is an autonomous body under the Higher Education Department, Government of Punjab. It serves six districts: Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad and Narowal.
The board registers regular and private candidates, conducts the 9th to 12th class exams, publishes results and result statistics, and issues result cards, certificates and duplicates. It also affiliates schools and colleges and processes rechecking requests.
