Everything you need on result day, in plain words.

By roll number

  2. Select your board and your class.
  3. Keep the latest result selected (or choose an older one).
  4. Type your roll number and press Check Result.

By name

Frequently asked questions

How do I check my result by roll number?

Select your board and class, keep the latest result selected, type your roll number and press Check Result. Your name, marks and status appear at once.

I forgot my roll number. Can I still find my result?

Yes. Open the Name tab, type your name (at least three letters of one word) and every student with a matching name is listed with roll number, status and marks. Tap View to open the full result.

Can I see the result of my whole school or college?

Yes. Use the School tab, or open School Results, and search your institution by name or code to see its pass percentage and, where the gazette lists them, all of its students.

Where can I download the full result gazette?

Open Gazettes, choose your board and class, and use View to read the gazette in your browser or Download to save the PDF.

What does it mean when subject names are printed instead of marks?

The gazette prints subject abbreviations for candidates who scored below the pass marks in those subjects. You can reappear in those subjects in the next (supplementary or annual) examination.

Why is my result not showing?

Check that the board, class and result year are right and that the roll number has no extra digits. If the result has been announced but is not listed yet, it is being added; please check again shortly.

How can I check my result?

On result day, open your board’s official result website and search with your roll number. You can also send your roll number by SMS to your board’s result code, or find your name in the result gazette the board publishes. Regular students get their result card through their school or college.

What marks do I need to pass?

At least 33% in each subject. For subjects with a practical, the Lahore board also requires 33% in the theory papers together. If you fail only one paper or the practical, you repeat just that part.

How do I apply for rechecking?

Apply online on your board’s website soon after the result. Lahore and Multan allow 15 days from the result date, and every board announces its own deadline. Pay the fee shown in the board’s current fee notice. Some boards, such as Multan, also want a printed copy of the application sent to the board.

Will rechecking mark my paper again?

No. Rechecking looks for mistakes such as unmarked answers or wrong totals. Your answers are not marked again from the start. If a mistake is found, your result is corrected, and boards such as Multan refund the rechecking fee.

I failed some subjects in 9th class. What now?

You can appear in the failed papers along with your 10th class exam. You can also take admission in 9th class again, in the same or a different group. Your board explains the options in its result gazette and fee notice.

I failed some subjects in 11th class (Part-I). What now?

You can sit those subjects again along with your Part-II exam. If you do not, the board decides whether you pass the subject from your combined Part-I and Part-II marks. If you reappear, your earlier Part-I marks in that subject no longer count.

I failed in 10th or 12th class. Is there a supplementary exam?

Yes. Punjab boards hold a Second Annual exam, the supplementary exam, a few months after the first annual result. Submit the admission form and fee by the dates your board announces. Late forms usually cost more.

How are Part-I and Part-II marks combined?

Your 9th and 10th class marks are added together to make your matric total. Your 11th and 12th class marks are added together to make your intermediate total. The Part-II result card shows this combined total, which is out of 1200 under the new course. The Part-I result card is an interim result.

Can I improve my marks or division after passing?

Yes. Under the current Punjab policy you get four chances within four years of passing to improve your marks. You must use them before you take a higher exam. You can reappear in chosen subjects, Part-I, Part-II or both, and your highest marks are kept. After two years you must also submit an affidavit. Subjects passed with grace marks must be retaken.

Can I cancel my 9th class result and study 9th again?

Yes, at some boards. For example, Lahore lets a student who passed cancel the 9th class result within 30 days of the result and take admission again. The student pays the cancellation and readmission fee and gives an undertaking that they will not claim any position.

I lost my roll number slip. What should I do?

Roll number slips are issued online, so you can usually print yours again from your board’s roll number slip page. Regular students can also ask their school or college. If the slip does not show, contact your board’s facilitation centre before the exam starts.

I lost my result card or certificate. How do I get another one?

Apply to your board for a duplicate result card or certificate. Most boards accept this online through their e-services or student services portal. Pay the fee in the board’s current fee notice and attach the documents the board asks for.

How can I take the exam as a private candidate?

Private candidates register and send their admission form online within the board’s schedule. Then they send the printed form and the paid fee challan as the board instructs. Private candidates download their roll number slip and result card from the board’s website.

Has the new A++ grading with 40% pass marks started in Punjab?

Not as of the 2026 annual results. IBCC has approved a new national grading scale with 40% pass marks. Punjab boards plan to phase it in, but 2026 result gazettes, such as Lahore’s, still used the 33% rule and the A+ to E grades. Check your board’s official notice for future exams.
