About the board
BISE Rawalpindi was established in October 1977 to serve the Rawalpindi division, which had been part of the Sargodha board. Its offices were first in Satellite Town and moved to a new campus at Morgah, near Attock Refinery, in March 2013.
The board is autonomous. Its main job is to conduct the SSC and HSSC exams and declare their results. It serves the districts of Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal, Murree and Talagang.
It holds first and second annual exams every year. The board aims to announce annual results within about three months of the exams.
