What is a result gazette?
A result gazette is the complete list of results that a Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education publishes for an examination. It lists every candidate’s roll number and name with the result: the total marks for a pass, the abbreviations of subjects still to clear, or a status such as absent or result later. Many gazettes also include the overall pass percentage, grade-wise statistics and institution-wise results.
A gazette can run to thousands of pages. To find your own result quickly, use Check Result with your roll number or name instead of scrolling through the PDF.
Gazette questions
When will the gazette of my board be available?
As soon as a board announces its result and releases the gazette, it is added here for viewing and downloading, usually on result day itself.
The gazette shows subject letters instead of my marks. What does that mean?
Abbreviations such as PHY, CH or ENG mean the candidate scored below the pass marks in those subjects and must clear them in a later examination. Your result card on this site spells out the full subject names.
Can I open the gazette on my phone?
Yes. The viewer loads only the pages you scroll to, so it works on mobile data. You can also download the PDF and open it in any PDF reader.
Are older gazettes available?
Yes. Gazettes of previous years stay listed. Use the Year filter to find them.
