Board toppers

How toppers are listed

For each board and class we list the candidates with the highest total marks printed in the result gazette, first overall and then group by group where the gazette shows groups (for example Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, Humanities or Science). Candidates with equal marks share the same position.

Boards also announce their official position holders at a ceremony. Those announcements can differ from a list worked out from gazette marks, for example when a board has rules on age, re-appear candidates or improvement of marks, so treat the board’s own announcement as final.
